When Shakespeare wrote "All the world's a stage," maybe he was hanging out in Volusia County. Four area community theaters will kick off their 2005-2006 seasons in the coming weeks: the Daytona Playhouse, the Little Theatre of New Smyrna Beach, the Sands Theater Center's various troupes in DeLand, and Shoestring Theatre in Lake Helen.
Here's a look at their upcoming seasons, with times, ticket prices and other pertinent information.

"45 Seconds From Broadway": A Neil Simon comedy set in the heart of New York City's theater district. Play dates are 8 p.m. Sept. 9-10 and 15-17; 2 p.m. Sept. 11 and 18.
"I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change": This musical comedy by Joe Di Pietro and Jimmy Roberts looks at love through the generations. 8 p.m. Nov. 4-5, 10-12 and 18-19; 2 p.m. Nov. 6, 13 and 20.
"Greetings!": A comedy-drama by Tom Dudzick, who has been called the "Catholic Neil Simon." A Catholic son brings his Jewish atheist fiancee home to meet his parents and his mentally challenged younger brother -- on Christmas Eve. "Murder Among Friends": A murder mystery by Bob Barry. Deceptions abound among an actor, his wife and a double-crossing -- and "double-loving" -- agent. 8 p.m. March 17-18 and 23-25; 2 p.m. March 19 and 26.

The community theater returns after canceling last season, when renovations had to be postponed following damage from Hurricane Frances. Season tickets: $65 for six plays. "The Sugar Bean Sisters": A comedy by Nathan Sanders about two spinster sisters. One is waiting for aliens from outer space while the other fears monsters under her bed.
