Reflections on Friendship "Friendship enriches your life every day from magical moments to challenging moments, from dancing in
the light to dancing in the street, and from the songs that speak your heart to the songs that reach another's
soul. Cherish your friends and hold them close for they are the angels of the earth." - Maestro Timothy D.
Turner

NOW ON BROADWAY
LaVon
Fisher-Wilson has been tapped to play Matron “Mama” Morton in the Broadway company of Chicago, beginning
November 14, the day the hit musical revival celebrates its twelfth anniversary and 5,000th performance. She replaces Carol
Woods. Fisher-Wilson
has appeared on Broadway and in the national tour of The Color Purple and also toured in Dreamgirls. Her regional credits
include Jelly’s Last Jam, Once on This Island, Crowns, Chicago, Smokey Joe’s Cafe and The Who’s Tommy.
Chicago continues its run at the Ambassador Theatre with a cast that includes Charlotte
d’Amboise as Roxie Hart, Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly, Tom Hewitt as Billy Flynn, Raymond Bokhour as Amos Hart and
R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.
It's won six Tony Awards, attracted gazillions of star performers and been turned into an Academy Award-winning
film (which nabbed six Oscars), and on November 16, the Fosse-fueled Broadway institution known as Chicago turned 12 years
old while simultaneously celebrating its 5,000th performance. Those are the facts, ma'am, but there's nothing by the
book about this glorious musical hit. Chicago, which began previews at the Richard Rodgers on October 23, 1996 (transferring
twice before ending up at its current home, the Ambassador Theatre, in 2003), celebrated its birthday and big five-oh-oh-oh
with stars Charlotte d'Amboise, Brenda Braxton, Tom Hewitt, LaVon Fisher-Wilson and Raymond Bokhour.

IN DEVELOPMENT
Marvin Hamlisch and Rupert Holmes will write the songs, and legendary actor, director,
writer and producer Jerry Lewis will make his theatrical directorial debut with the new Broadway musical, The Nutty
Professor, based on the 1963 film that Lewis starred in and co-wrote.
With music by Academy Award, Emmy Award, Grammy Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Hamlisch and a book
and lyrics by multiple Tony Award winner and Grammy nominee Rupert Holmes, the musical is aiming for a bow on Broadway in
the 2010-11 season and is being produced by Loud Watch Productions, LLC.
Orlando performer and friend Michael Andrew has been cast to play the title role.
The screenplay for "The Nutty Professor" was written by Jerry Lewis and Bill Richmond. The film also starred
Lewis in what went on to be one of his most famous roles and successful films.
Lewis stated, "I was born with show business
in my blood and working on Broadway gets it coursing through my veins like no other place can. Marvin and Rupert have given
one of my favorite and most enduring films…a hilarious and gorgeous adaptation for Broadway and I could not be happier.
Does this story sing and dance? You bet it does."

Although Lorin Lemme faced the usual challenges of a professional musician trying to find his niche,
he found his calling in the genre of Christian rock. His band, 1000 Generations, signed with Varietal Records (Vineyard
Music, distributed by Warner Brothers), and recently finished their August 4 national release, “Turn Off The Lesser
Lights” in Los Angeles, where they mixed tracks with David Bianco, who has produced albums for Bob Dylan, Tom Petty,
and AC/DC. In addition, the group tours extensively, playing shows at various festivals, college campuses, and churches. Prior to signing with Varietal, the band received numerous accolades for their independently released debut album.
Worship Leader Magazine called it “the best new worship album of the year.” Christian Music Today named them one
of “Ten Independent Artists You Should Know About.” Additionally, the band was awarded two Gospel Music Association
Awards including the “Grand Prize Song of the Year” for their efforts.

NEW JERSEY
Gary Kilmer was a dancer, singer, and actor on and
off Broadway for ten years before moving to Asbury and taking a job at a university in Newark. He had heard of Habitat, and
had close friends and family involved with our chapter. This led him to become involved.
He is now leading the
ReStore in its quest to reach “the next level.” With the help of many dedicated volunteers, Kilmer is trying to
get the store cleaned up and organized, creating a more pleasant environment for shoppers.
The quality of the products being sold is also being set at a higher standard. Kilmer spoke of reaching out to local
furniture stores, church groups, and various other community organizations that may be able to donate a better caliber product.
“If customers could get a better quality and more unique product, and the store could make more money, then
that money would ultimately go to building more houses,” Kilmer commented.
