My thoughts and best wishes go out to all of those affected by the Hurricane Season in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and other storm affected areas. You have been displaced, neglected by some, and are enduring the results of devastation beyond any we have seen in our life times.
If you are able to volunteer, send money, house the displaced, educate the children, heal those suffering either emotionally or physically, please NOW is the time to step to the plate. Please look below for a list of resources. We are America and it is time to make a stand.
Some serious issues have revealed themselves as we have seen in the aide of this terrible disaster. Our governmental systems are not connected in so many ways as we have been led to believe in this new super power…Homeland Security. Where was the plan? What took so long? We have strained our military forces so that the brunt of our military overseas is the National Guard. The National Guard was designed and designated for homeland security. Yet when we needed them here at home, they are still over in Iraq. Lord, I pray that the people, our leadership, and those unwilling to stand aside with heads turned any longer, stand up and be heard. Investigations must be held and people at the top must be held accountable. Subordinates are at the will of their leaders, and it is time for those leaders to accept blame and pay the cost of those crimes against humanity.
