Well, Seinfeld is no more, but I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change lives on in several cities, as well as being in its ninth year in New York. Based on the audience reception at the performances, it shows no signs of slowing down in Chicago, either. After The Fantasticks ended its run, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change became Off-Broadway's longest-running musical. In 2002, it became the longest running musical review of all time, making it the longest running musical review in New York history, breaking the record set by Smokey Joe's Cafe. Its New York run has surpassed the runs of Hello, Dolly!, My Fair Lady, Annie, Man of La Mancha, Oklahoma!, The Threepenny Opera, Pippin, and South Pacific, among others. It just goes to show you that romance sells. I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change opened at the Westside Theatre on August 1, 1996. Productions of the show have opened in more than 150 cities worldwide, including Los Angeles, Toronto, Boston and London, among other cities. Subjects covered on the musical ride through the modern-day mating game include dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives, and in-laws. Make no mistake, though, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is not heavyweight entertainment. However, there are moments, particularly in Act 2, when the poignancy of the show sneaks up on you. Subjects covered in the show include most of the components of modern day relationships. In fact, it is structured like a relationship - Act 1 deals with dating, and Act 2 deals with marriage, parenthood, and the death of a spouse. I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change is the perfect date show. It doesn’t matter what stage your relationship is at, or whether you’re in a relationship at all. Turner has been performing professionally for 27 years in professional & commercial productions, on stage and screen, with celebrities such as Rita Marino & Marvin Hamlisch and groups like Canadian Brass & the King’s Singers. He has directed and produced theatre, cabarets, stage shows, concerts and film for more than 20 years throughout the continental United States and Europe. Although this is his 1st production at Daytona Playhouse, this show marks his 47th production in the area since his relocation to Central Florida in 2001. He holds a BM in Performance from Millikin University and works as a director, performer, performance coach, clinician, producer, composer, community organizer and writer. Currently, he resides in Longwood, Florida just north of Orlando, but he travels extensively as a working professional.

Please bring music in your key. CD accompaniment discouraged as this will be a live musical production. Please come dressed and prepared to learn a short partnered dance routine for your audition.
