The storybook tale revolves around the main characters--the bumbling, awkward schoolteacher, Ichabod Crane, the coquettish Katrina and Ichabod's brutish rival, Brom Bones. As much fun as the play presents, it saves the best for last--the ride of the headless horseman. This adaptation remains dedicated to the spirit and storyline of Washington Irving's work and expertly involves young people with lots of suspense and comedy. Audition InformationAdult auditions for the Rivertown Players' production of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow will begin at 10 a.m. Aug. 27 and 28 in the Sands Theater Center at the Cultural Arts Center, 600 N. Woodland Blvd., DeLand.
